Main Street, Houston, Texas
Main Street in downtown Houston, TX is such a cool and upcoming area. The north end is littered with historical buildings that carry so many stories of prosperity, yet equally matched by tragedy. The south end contains a mix of more recent office buildings and hotels with a few classic builds mixed in. The real tragedy of downtown Houston is the abundance of parking lots that have replaced many classic and historical buildings.
The view from this photograph is looking south along METRO's Red Line. This water pond has a water feature that shoots up during the day when trains pass. During the night, this area becomes a hang out for the homeless of Houston. The buildings seen here are (Left to Right) One City Center and BBVA Compass Bank.
