The Houston Skyline, I69

The Houston Skyline, I69

The sunset last night (12/22), a dramatic and well played out sight. I started scouting locations about 5pm which was in the midst of what photographers call "golden hour". After becoming frustrated with the west side of Houston, I went back to the east side near Saint Arnold's Brewery. Right as I crossed over Interstate 10, the sky told me I had 5-10 minutes to find a spot and get the shots. So I immediately pulled over, got the camera out, set my exposure, and shot this panorama.

The scene reminds me of something lost in Houston's past. A view from some ones fractured dream of the way northeast downtown should be. Still, Houston sits proud and foreboding, as to say I am a force of accomplishment with just sheer will power. Being 4th largest in the nation, we definitely are a city to be proud of.
